OUT ON THE OCEAN (2009) is an inspired blend of songs and tunes that includes standard Irish
session tunes, subtly modernized arrangements of traditional songs,
sterling new tunes written by Linda Relph and even an acappella vocal
quartet number. The wide range of material on the album helps showcase
the diverse talents of each member of N8i. With the recording, Nine-8ths Irish takes its place among the most compelling, crowd-pleasing and original bands playing traditional Irish music within the U.S. Read more about "Out on the Ocean" here, or see comments about the album here.
The first foray into Celtic music for FGM Records, WEST OF IRELAND (2007) presents traditional jigs, reels and other dance tunes, a handful of tunes written during the past twenty years and a few more current. Inspired by the greats that have come before them, Nine-8ths Irish made its recording debut with this collection.
