BRADY McKAY (Vocals) has been a versatile and entertaining jazz musician since the age of 18. She studied both piano and theatre from a young age. As a leap from theater into jazz, Brady was hired to sing with Stan Mark and the River City Stompers, and has since performed on cruise ships throughout the world and as a guest artist at many jazz festivals with some of the best traditional jazz players performing today. She has also toured, performed and recorded with many bands, ranging from Pearl Django to The Black Dogs and the ghost bands of Nelson Riddle and Tommy Dorsey. She can be heard on CDs with bands such as the Wooden Nickel Jass Band (of which she was a co-founder), as well as numerous independent projects. Brady's addition to Nine-8ths Irish adds a completely new dynamic to the band, adding more of that "wee bit more" to their sound.
